Moving Forward

Oasis Feature: A Series of Views

Getting ready to sail!
Ocean Beach, Puerto Rico

Birds fly in a cloudy Caribbean sky.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
My current mood is expressed by these two photographs. First, the sunny day anticipating new seas to cross, which is the colorful boat resting on the sand and second, the actual action of adapting to a new location and the natural adjustments to changing weather- which is represented by the birds flying through the cloudy sky.  I've made a deal with myself. Whenever I feel undo stress, I'll take a walk. I have taken up to three walks a day! (The dogs love the exercise.) I continue to remind myself that all change-even the best kind- involves stress.

Breathe, just breathe.

I love my new yoga class. If your in Puerto Rico be sure to stop by It's Yoga in Ocean Beach and take a yoga class. It will make you feel stronger and ready to face new challenges. It works for me!

  3. Great capture on the photos, Cynthia!

What an extrordinarily beautiful place to walk. If I lived there, I'd look for reasons to feel stressed, just so I could walk it off.

Thanks for taking us along with you. Keep breathing. xoxo

  4. Vicki, I find that I sometimes hold my breath without realizing it. Thanks for the visit!

Hi Mama Shujaa, yes I appreciate the time spent outside. It connects and uplifts, don't you think?
    Thanks for your good wishes!

Jo, how are you? Glad you enjoyed the photos. ha!! I hope I'm not looking for reasons to feel stressed! I think people in the Midwest really appreciate the tropical weather-- that's because when I lived in Michigan my family would think of going to Florida to get away from the winter cold! It's good to remember to appreciate even the simple ability to pause and breathe. xxo

  5. Lucky you to have a beach as a backyard - the best cure for stress. I do hope things will be sunnier on the inside all day long.

  6. It's been a while since I visited...lots of changes for you, but may they be like the wind and clouds, and a nice walk...refreshing and stimulating.

  7. Thanks, Sarah. A walk on the beach and appreciating the good changes keeps my stress under control. I miss my daughter who is off in college- just having her around relaxes me. Summer is just around the corner! Thanks for the visit!
