Fear or love?
Choose love or fear..."There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life." ~ John Lennon

ReplyDeleteThAnks for your charming presence on my blog! I have been away working on another writing project but I've missed my friends.
DeleteIt's sad to think that these optimistic words were from a man who was shot down in his prime. Still, words to live by.
ReplyDeleteAs for the post below, you know that I admire you for being so open about your past and remaining optimistic about your future. I can't imagine that murder would be something to be ashamed of unless you are the murderer.
Yes, Sarah, sad but what other choice do we have? Our lives can be expansive blooms greeting the sun through the rain or safely contracted. After my mother's murder and my own period of shut down, I chose to greet the day's sunshine and accept the rainfall.
ReplyDeleteI so appreciate your visit!
