What do you think of this rehabilitation program idea? Prisoners learn to create and market folk art. I was surprised that conversation with customers was allowed. I was able to barter for a unique Don Quixote but decided to buy it later. Unfortunately, they were already gone when I returned in the afternoon. Mr. Oasis won't get another Don Q for his collection!

This is interesting. I suppose carving art is a nice way to lift the human spirit.
ReplyDeleteWhere can I see this art? Looks interesting and I believe it is more productive then sitting in a cell. Although very odd that conversation with customers was allowed!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a great idea...as they say 'Idle hands are the devil's workshop' and if they are busy and lift hearts, all the better!
